About Us... (but mainly THAT guy again)
WACka-Motion Pictures first became a physical entity in July
of 2006 although it existed in W. Allan Collette's mind as far
back as his college years as a theater major in the early 80's.
Back then he imagined one day he'd open a little coffeehouse
theater somewhere. But after being involved in numerous
college productions and touring with it's children's theater
company in such productions as "Nathanial the Grublet" and
"A Stone in the Road" he was bitten by the directing bug.
Personal tragedy caused a layoff of some years and the
interruption of a promising career. With the exception of a few
minor appearances in local productions he made few appear-
ances and was not involved "theatrically" except for the
accumulating multitudes (mountains) of pages of scripts and
miscellaneous fiction that was filling dresser after dresser until
it was a fire hazard that couldn't be ignored!
Over the last five years he has been involved in a number of
ongoing public access Television and animation projects
"Mercury Rising Radio Playhouse" and "Wacka-Mations"
for S.C.A. among them, that converted a theater person into a
TV Director, Producer, Writer, animator, shlep, and sometimes
character/ voice actor, often playing several roles.
Well, one day he realized he had a pile of scripts that
absolutely needed to be produced and shared with the world,
and no way to share his mad---- (sic) vision with the ignorant
masses who needed to be enlightened (twisted) to his way of
seeing things. And here we are...
